Fred Durst is an American vocalist, best known as the founder of the rap-rock group Limp Bizkit.

He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. Fred was raised by his mother, Anita, as his biological father left the family when he was only a few weeks old. Fred and his mother struggled to make ends meet, living in the attic of a church and surviving on donated food.
